I came across a cage called ‘cockatiel & Large parakeet cage amilo’ on zooplus, its measurements: 47cm(L) x 54cm(W) x 98cm(H) and the bar spacing is 1cm, do you think its suitable for 2 rats? Obviously id adjust it and add hammocks and shelves etc. Thanks 🙂
As long as they have places to climb and hide a large bird cage should be just fine for them. It will actually provide better ventillation than a tank would.
