I thought it might be a good idea to discuss pet and animal books in our new "Off Topic" forum.
My all-time favorite animal book is Watership Down – if you have only seen the film and not read the book then you really must read it!
What are your favorite animal/pet books?

    I love that book too!

I’m going to add that one to my list.
Right now i’m reading The Gerbil Farmer’s Daughter A Memoir by Holly Robinson.
I just started the book and it is so funny.

mine isnt really a story but its an article marmduke

If you loved Watership Down, also read:
    Tailchaser’s Song
The Heavenly Horse from the Outermost West (and sequel)
    One Day On Beetle Rock
    The Wild Road
The Book of Night With Moon
    The White Bone
    A Rustle in the Grass
    Trust me. 😉
If you have a strong constitution, and aren’t prone to depression, read The Plague Dogs.
It’s not for the faint of heart.

I don’t get time to read as much as I’d like but one book that stood out for me was ‘Everything Animal Reiki’ by Kathleen Prasad. I’m a reiki practitioner working with peoples pets so it was very helpful for me personally.
