My guinea pig sometimes has a milky discharge from their eyes. I have to wipe it off, but I'm wondering what it is and what actions I should take (if any).

The milky discharge is not a problem. They secrete this from their eyes to lubricate them. You do not need to wipe it off...it helps keep their eyes moisturized.

i read somewhere it helps the mgroom themselves. If youve noticed a guinea pig wipes from its eyes down to its nose and uses that milky stuff to groom or something.
