Depression or anger are common when you bring home a new pet. The first pet thinks you are trying to replace him/her. Make sure you give lots of love and treats to your first ferret as well as the new one. Pay extra attention to your first one though to let him know he is still your number one. He will eventually see that you still love him and may even become friends with the new ferret once he realizes it is not going to take you away from it. Also watch out for illness warning signs as it is possible for the new ferret to have brought in something that could have made your first one sick.
