Dog menopause???

My Lab is 12 years old and she pants and licks her chops all the time. We keep the house around 70 degrees. We took her to our vet and he inspected her mouth for any reason for the licking and found nothing. Is she going through dog menopause? Why would she lick her chops all the time?
