my sister's 10 year old female peka poo has been having problems with mobility and apparent pain for about 2 months now. First diagnosis was constipation, treatment did not help, next was female organ removal, did not help. Most recent incident, today, jumped when grasshopper scared her and then she could not move rear legs. Any ideas???????

Sounds like a back or spine problem. Have they done x-rays? Your animal should be on a steroid and total cage rest until diagnosed. Go to a different vet if needed. They are not all great. Good luck. And no more jumping or the dog could become paralized if not already.

I am the sister with the Yorkie Poo (thank you Sis, love you). The vet rechecked recent X-Rays with no sign of spine problem, arthritis, Hip problems or fractures of any kind. She is on a 2 times a day baby aspirin. When aspirin kicks in she is like a puppy, when it wears off she is in discomfort. She is eating and drinking very well, Urination and bowel movements are very normal. Have a vet appointment scheduled this week and I am going to ask him to focus on pinched nerve or pulled muscle. Any additional thoughts???
