i really need some advice on how to stop my rabbit thumping his feet all night, he does it most nights for a few hours at a time and it is keeping me awake most of the night. he has been neutered, and he is just over a year old, and sleeps in a cage downstairs, his cage is on top of another cage which has my other rabbit in, who is female, she has also been netured i have tried putting them together, but she keeps going for him. could this have anything to do with it? though they have been like this for a year.. thanks gill

there must be something worrying him. Rabbits stamping is a warning to their friends that they have seen something alarming - in the wild it will mean they all run underground. Its a bit strange that he will do it for hours at a time... is there a cat or anything in the house?

hi, daphne thanks for replying, No i dont have any cats or dogs in the house, so im not sure what could be worrying him, he doesnt do it during the day, its only at night or sometimes even in the evening if i am there, i thought maybe it was because it was dark and i tried leaving the light on, but he still kept stamping, though not as much. thanks gill
