I have heard that pine cones can be good chew

toys for rabbits and that if you choose a natural one from your yard you should rinse it good with water then oven dry. I haven't tried this yet but today my husband had to cut down a large wild grape vine and thought maybe pieces could be used as chew toys. Any comments or warnings?

I've given grapevine toys to my gerbils. They never had a bad reaction & greatly enjoyed destroying them.

It's likely that the rabbit will like them too - I've never heard that grapevines carry any kind of toxin that can hurt an animal. Just boil them for 5 minutes, then let them dry. You can twist them into shapes before they dry, to make them more compact to store.

Thank you...I thought it might be a safe approach.

My little female "Baby Girl Bunny" seems to like the piece of branch.
