What breed is my rabbit?

I just realized that I cannot place a web-link for reference. I am reposting my question without a link.
I'm at a loss. I have a beautiful, VERY docile buck named Fred. Docile? He doesn't bite, claw or try to get away. He travels in the car, goes on a leash, and lays on me while every child in sight pets him.
He looks sort of flecked. He has an under-coat of gray and white, with an over-coat of brown and black. It makes him appear to be either a silver or a chinchilla, but one of his ears will sometimes flop down for short periods. They are neither really short nor really long. Given that the doe we got from the same breeder is unquestionably a Holland Lop (VERY classic broken coloration on white), it is hard to know what Fred is. I don't know if they are actually brother and sister. She was larger than him when we got them. Both of them will flop-down on to their side (like a dog) for deep, serious sleeping.
The babies which resulted from breeding the two include: 2 fairly classic Holland Lops with broken pattern, two cinnamon colored critters with black patching, and two solids: one brown/gray (color is sort of between the two, possibly flecking like Fred) and one black. The black one has a sort of a "brown 1/2 collar" on the top of his neck behind his ears, where the soft fur is. None of the babies' ears have flopped yet and Fred isn't quite 1 year old, as far as I understand.
I've posted a picture from when he was young. I'll try to get another more recent one up, as half his face is now black and the rest of him gives a primary impression of brown.
