Adopting in Maryland!

My family and I are looking for a dog to adopt, we live in Maryland around Baltimore, Anne Arundel and Annapolis.
   
We are looking for a hypoallergenic dog and are considering a West Highland White Terrier (Westie), Yorkshire Terrier, Shih Tzu and Maltese cross Shih Tzu.
   
Anybody out there giving one of these out for adoption?

Go to Petfinder. Put in your zip code. You can search by breed. It lists adoption groups from closest to farthest from you; you can put in the search radius you want.
   
Contact any local adoption groups & tell them what you're looking for. You can get yourself approved early, so you can be put on some kind of watch list.
   
Also, go to the local animal shelters - all you can reach - every week & check the animals they have there for the breed you're looking for. Be ready to take the dog home right away once you find it.
