Stop often. Depending on the type of pet you could use on demand water bottles. But I will assume you have cats and dogs. Stop as often as you can to give them water. For your cats get a harness and a leash they have them for cats if you now where to look. That way you can walk them at rest stops and have them not get away. Give them water at rest stops in a bowl and feed them every 3-4 hours small amounts of food. After you feed them continue on your way but you must stop within 45 minutes to an hour to let them relive themselves. Same thing for dogs. They may dribble pee in their cages which isn't that bad for the trip. Just remember to give them plenty of opportunities to relieve themselves like every time you stop and give them water.
