Dog puts chew bone in my lap

You went out & made a kill & brought him some (the chew bone). He starts eating, but notices you don't have one. You're a senior pack member. He's giving you his food because the senior dog should eat before him.
This is very noble & thoughtful of him.
Pat him on the head, tell him he's a good boy, & give him back his bone. He needs to understand that you don't want his food.
If you're nibbling on something at the time, he may not feel the need to give you his bone.
