My cat is about 12 years old and is having diarrea

a few times a week. She also eats the ends of my indoor palm plants and vomits. What cat food would you suggest for an older cat? Should I feed her wet food vs. only dry cat food? Would this help with her issue?

It is not always the best thing to change foods but if your cats teeth are ok and has no other health problems a dry cat food with higher fiber seems to keep diarrhea from happening. What are you feeding her/him now? The eating of the plant could be the cause of the diarrhea or a symptom of upset stomach. You might want to go for a check up and fecal. good luck

I'd feed her a combination of dry & wet.

And plant some kitty grass to keep her away from the plants.

Also add pet-formula digestive enzymes to her diet. You can find them on multiple pet supplement websites.

Add some cooked brown rice to her diet to help with the loose stools.
