HELP HORSE HOOF

my appy mare has a birth defect that makes one hoof grow faster than the other if i do not shoe her after 6 weeks she tends to limp it usually stops after 2 or 3 days after shoeing but this time its almost 2 weeks and she still limping what could it be please help
