Hi, I have just come home to find my dog has eaten 180 cod liver oil tablets (which contain pure cod liver oil, fish liver oil, vitamin A, vitamim B and Vitamin E) She seems ok at the minute but is this dangerous for her and are there any symptoms i should look out for? She is a 4 year old, healthy Rhodesian Ridgeback. Many Thanks

Head for the hills.
Your dog is probably going to have some serious diarrhea.
His stomach will be very upset but once he rids himself of the excess (either by vomiting or by crapping it out) he should have no long-term effects, other than a sore belly or pooper or both.
Cod liver oil is all fat and this much of it is more likely to cause the runs than vomiting, but be on the alert for both.
