I have a couple of suggestions to prevent the problem of having to clean up hair. First, check out the breeds that do the least amount of shedding like Poodles, or a Poodle Lab mix.
I have 8 dogs living in my house and found the Furminator to be the best grooming tool to use to help prevent hair from shedding all over the place. When you use it on a dog, it removes a large amount of hair before it has a chance to go everywhere.
