Hey everyone, I am a former dog owner who is planning to get a new dog soon. But my girlfriend is worried about all of the hair that will get everywhere.

I know I only ever used lint rollers to get my english setter's hair off my clothers. Lots and lots of lint rollers. I was wondering if I could get some suggestions for other items here. Your opinions on things like lint rollers, the Scotch Furfighter, those rubber brushes, just plain vacuuming, etc. would be very helpful.

Thanks!

Scotch Fur Fighter.

Pledge Fabric Sweeper for Pet Hair.

Oreck vacuums do a wonderful job of taking up pet fur off any kind of surface.

Little-known fact: Pet fur doesn't stick to microfiber, the kind used for furniture covers. We have a couch that has an inexpensive microfiber cover on it, & it never gets fur stuck to it. The rest of the house is growing a new cat & dog, but not the couch. So cover the furniture with microfiber throws or slipcovers, & get a microfiber bedspread for the bed. They come in very nice colors, & you can sew your own with cloth from the fabric store.

I have two labs so we have dog hari everywhere! haha i recently bought the fabric sweeper from pledge and it works awesome on our furniture. Sadly we did upgrade our vacuum to an industrial sized shop vac, because we never found a vacuum that could handle the pet hair, and trust me, we went through quite a few ;) but good luck with everything. Im sure just keeping up on the vacuuming and getting that fabric sweeper will work wonders.
