I have a 10 month old yellow lab. recently, while out walking she has stopped dead and refuses to go further despite any pulling and coaxing by me, I am physically unable to move her, as soon as I change direction she happily walks on. This usually happens in a particular area though not always at the same spot and is a place that we have walked almost daily since she was very small. There is no barking or obvious signs of distress but is starting to freak me out! has anyone heard of this problem before?. Many thanks.

It could be that something spooked her in that spot so now she does not want to go. I woulf take some high end treats with you something she never gets like maybe Chicken nuggetts. when she does this try to encourage her to move forward. She will continue to do this and maybe get worse about it if it is allowed to continue. You might even try running and when you get to that point so that she does not have a chance to think about it.
