A couple of weeks ago Buddy started sounding really congested. When he gets up and walks he sounds like he has a really stuffed up nose, but there is no discharge at all. He eats and drinks just fine, and when he sleeps I don't notice the noise and he seems comfortable breathing, but he does snore quite loudly at times, more than usual. When he is up he will breath in hard and you can hear there is a build up of something way back in his nose. Is there something I can give him to relieve this?

You may need to take him to the vet and get him some medicine. My dog was congested as well just last week... I took him to the vet and got him 10 cough tablets for $6. Hope your doggy feels better soon.

Thanks. I decided to contact the vets online and see if they had any advice and they thought it could be allergies and told me how much benedril to try to see if that helped. After the first day it didn't seem any different, but at least it wasn't getting worse, but I noticed that tonight it does actually sound a little better so I am going to see how he is in the morning before calling his vet here in town. If it still sounds about the same as tonight I will go ahead and just take him to his vet, just to be on the safe side.
