puppies and oatmeal

My mom is feeding her 9 pitbull puppies milk and oatmeal. I told her milk is bad because most dogs are intolerant to it. They have been having diareah. She doesnt believe me when i say its bad for them. She hasnt been feeding them dog food much just oatmeal. My question is, is it good or bad for them to be on a oatmeal and milk based diet or should she switch to wet dog food and kibble asap?
