For the past 3 days, my cat has been showing some weird signs. The 1rst day, I noticed that he didn't like being pet under his chin(but he loves that!). I was thinking, "maby the neighbors' fat cat slapped him really hard. I tried to look in his mouth, but he would meow in an "ouch!" way. But worse came the next day. I noticed he was drooling and his mouth was slightly open. This lasted all day. Then today I noticed he was STILL drooling and his mouth was still slightly open. But he's drooling much heavier and in larger quanities. My friends were all freaking out and saying that it's rabies. Then I thought that it could very likely be rabies! But usually, when they start "foaming at the mouth" they go through the "rabid" phase or suffer an emotional disorder. My kitty has suffered any emotional problem, nothing emotion has changed. He still sleeps with me in my bed, eats, drinks, and sits on the couch with me. But he has been acting very fatigue ever since this. He does alot of sleeping than usual. Doesn't like chasing the other cats like he usualy does. Do not become angry or hatefull to me - I have a condition that disables me from obtaining certain jobs and being able to drive. My parents will not help me, because he is my pet. Therefore, if he dies, it's my fault. Here is some information on him if any would help with an answer: He is over-due for vaccenations. He is nuetured. He is declawed. He is 11 years old. He is a healthy weight cat, weighing in at 13 pounds. He is a Russian Blue/Tabby mix. He does not suffer any perminant injuries/disabilities/and is not on any medication. He goes outside. He lives with 3 other healthy cats. He has no allergies. I'm sorry my post was so long. I just want some help for my kitty. He is like a son to me and is a very sweet boy! Thank you for any advice!

I see your in WV so am I but thought I would respond to your post.....I'm not sure if your cat would have rabies but I've read in the paper that there were some cases of rabies in the Northern part of the state...as you know we have foxes, raccoons, bats and possums that could possible carry the virus.....you really need to take it to the vet and have him checked out just in case....below is a link to a website about cat diseases or you can also type in http://www.vetinfo.com and then click on link about cats...Hope your cat is ok....Suebee
