My husband and I are committed ed to house sit for 2 1/2 weeks later this month. When we agreed to this 6 months ago we were free and clear. However,
Since then, we've been adopted by a 10 month old kitty, Tin-Tin.
Now we're concerned about leaving him alone. Initially we thought " we'll bring him with us" But all things considered, I question whether that would be more stressful for him than leaving him at home.
My "Novice pet daddy" husband has no worries. To him it's "Bring him with us. No problem!" But I who have had dogs and/or cats most of my life, know it's not so cut & dry. Especially with a cat.
First off, there are 2 senior female cats in this other house. He notes that Tin Tin is neutered and the other 2 are pretty mellow and distant. But that's with US. I fear this invasion will insight triple feline freak-out and ensuing mayhem.
Also, we've had Tin tin for 2 months now, he's finally really settled into life with us after being given away by his first owners if tool some real care to trust us. Thankfully, he hasn't done any spraying so far. I worry am experience like this could bring it on! ??
We both work so he's used to quiet days. And our home is half way between the other house and my place of work, so I would stop before and after work to feed, play with him and give him love. Even more so on weekends. But is this sufficient for over??

If you are that concerned, I suggest leaving him. Someone else will feed him and he will probably adopt him. If hes been outdoors his whole lie, hes probably comfortable being a neighborhood cat. However, I have heard cat owners bringing in strays and doing just fine as a house cat. It really depends on the cat. They are independent creatures and are comfortable as such. If u want, give it a 2 week test run. If u find he doesnt like it, return him to his area and free him. Hope this helps.

I would leave him at home. Mainly because of the other cats. All three of them will be nervous and under stress, and you do not want to leave 3 nervous cats alone at home while you are at work. Cats don't accept new cat easily. If you bring another cat home you need to separate them for week or two. Let them smell each other over the door, get use to the fact that there is new member in the house and so on....
Hope it helps.
