heartbroken

I get very attached to animals, I asked my husband to never bring a pet home because they should die and get lost it would kill me. One day he bought a cat it took me 48 hours to succumb
   
I went to my parents place for vacation and I came back with another cat he was 1 week old and, the first one gave birth to 4 kittens, the situation became very difficult financially so we decided we will only keep one; Mino the one I brought from Casablanca to Qatar, now he is 3 years..
   
My mother in law visited us last year and asked me to get red of my cat, the shocking thing my husband agreed he said you know I have allergy and having a cat is not the smart thing to do
   
When I said NO I am too attached all his family stopped talking to me that I am careless about my husband’s health
   
Now we reached the point he wants to divorce me if I don’t throw the cat, did he bring the cat the first place 3 years ago even if I made it clear, why should I endure this?
   
Please tell me what to do
