i need some advice. After ny dog passed away, a stray cat came into our lives. I had her fixed, and she got hit by a car. My wife broken up, i went to a shelter got her a cat. I took over a year to get close to her, then I decided to get another cat to keep her company..Everything went fine my house looks like a petco store. Toy's and boxes all over the place, but they sleep all the time.. we worry about our cats, they are part of our family..here is my question.. what do you think of an outdoor shelter screend so they are protected, or a leash to walk them around the yard to get fresh air..These are our first cats so i want the best for them thanks so much

Both of those things would be great for your cats (The screened in area would be better as getting a cat to walk on a leash can be tricky)
There is a company called "Kittywalk" which makes a lot of products specifically for that purpose, although they are pretty overpriced IMO, But you could browse their catalog to get some ideas. (kittywalk.com)
Make sure they have a place they can get out of the sun, and make sure they have fresh water if you will be leaving them out for a while.
I have also seen a really neat product that is just a window seat and a little screen porch that leads outside the window (kind of like a window air conditioning unit) with a cat door that leads in and out. Something like that positioned strategically overlooking a birdfeedeer would probably be a big hit with your kitties :)

Cats also need vertical space, it sounds like you may already have some, but if you don't I would definitely suggest you get some sturdy cat furniture or a cat tree so they have places they are allowed to climb.
Another thing that is helpful to keep predominately indoor cats same and busy is to hide treats and little dishes of water around the house so they can hunt for them :)
It sounds like you two are doing a great job with your kitties, it's nice to see someone willing to put the time into taking care of cats properly. Many people seem to think cat ownership ends at keeping food out and a cat box cleaned.
