My cat, Kira, is a vibrant senior cat at approximately 15 years old (still plays and jumps). She eats boxed Purina and canned Friskies (preferring mostly organ meats). She has never been an overeater and is only 7lbs.
She has developed this craving for Vitamin E Oil. I found out that Vit E is actually good for cats -- especially elderly -- so I indulge her. I place a dab of it on my finger tip, she takes a couple of licks and is satisfied... for about a few minutes to a few hours. However, it seems that she is addicted to it and constantly harasses me for it. Every time I move, she runs out from wherever she's is and follows me around like a drug addict looking for a fix.
My question is, can my cat have too much Vit E oil? Could I put some in a hamster water dispenser so she can have full access to it, eating it as she chooses, and so she doesn't bother me? She's driving me nuts!

Cats can have too much Vitamin E. Don't let her have any more than a dab a day.
Try switching her to olive oil. Cats can have 2 tsp of edible oil a day; it's good for their skin & fur. You can add a little tuna fish water into the olive oil to make it more cat-specific, as most cats love tuna fish.
You can also soak canned tuna-in-water in the olive oil & give her a teaspoon of the mixture twice a day. Use the chunk light, it's cheaper & smellier. Olive oil is better than the soybean oil that the tuna-in-oil is made with. And the tuna water is generally loved by cats.
For vitamins, buy a cat vitamin. I like Vetri-Science Nu-Cat vitamins ($13 online for 240 tablets, 4 tablets total a day, 2@am/2@pm).
