Your cat loves you & he's treating you like another cat. This is how cats show they love each other.
Scratch his nose & head & tell him he's a fine figure of a cat. That's what he wants.
We had a Tuxedo cat who fell in love with my husband. If she'd known what kittens were, she'd have wanted to have his. Minerva would plant herself on his chest while he watched TV or read in bed & purr, rub & nibble him, just like that.
