Is my cat ill?

My home was burglarized two weeks ago and my cat has not been the same since. He will not leave my bathroom. He is not eating or drinking much and is very lethargic. He stays in his litterbox all the time. I have physically move him to clean it. Is he ill?

Possibly. Take him to the vet for a checkup.
   
He may actually be traumatized & depressed - if he's not sick, that's the problem. Traumatized cats have to be dealt with carefully. Drug treatment may help, but we won't know until illness is ruled out. Take the cat to the vet first.
