nose rubbing

every day my cat, when he is close to me,puts his nose on my nose and rubs my nose back and forth. He is a very sweet cat and I am wondering why he does the nose rubbing whenever he gets the chance to do it.

Thats very sweet. it sounds like its a greeting :) something like: "I've missed you" or "Hello"
