diamond dove

hi everyone,
   
i love birds aand would love a gentle social (likes to be handled but not hours) bird and was wondering if a diamond dove would be good for a beginner keeper. i would prefer for it to be fairly small and tame and i would probably onlykeep it on its own, would it still be happy?

I have it would be happy but not to tame bc there so small as babys there hard to hand feed
