i work at a local pet store. we get a lot of animals in and we sell a lot. about 6 months ago we a pair of love birds in and they didnt look healthy, so we put them in the back and treated them with vitamins. once they looked healthy we put them in the bird room with the rest of the birds. a few days later one of them died. in attempt to keep the one alive i brought it home and put it next to my cockatiel. everything was great for about 3 months until my bird began to squint it's left eye. i figured it might have scratched itself hoping it would get better on its own. now about 1 month later, its eye is completely closed and secreting a little bit extra liquid. i can afford to take the bird to a vet if there is a home remedy that will help. any advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks. sarah
