Signs Of Pregnancy In Rabbits

I have a 6 yrs old dutch rabbit whom I believe is pregnant. My question is how can I find out if she is pregnant. What signs should I look for?

It is very hard to know for sure whether your rabbit is pregnant in the early stages. Many people consider a sign of pregnancy as being when the doe begins to pull out the hair on her belly. However, many female rabbits (does) will do this anyway – either because of a ‘phantom’ pregnancy or not.

If your rabbit has never pulled out her hair before but begins to at around 30 days after the time when you thought she was mated, this may be a strong indication that she is pregnant. Either way, you should provide a nest box to ensure that if she is pregnant she can begin to build a nest for her young.
